    2. Dear Paul, Try: _http://www.lambethpalacelibrary.org/holdings/Guides/clergyman.html_ (http://www.lambethpalacelibrary.org/holdings/Guides/clergyman.html) for information on tracing information on Clergymen and _http://www.theclergydatabase.org.uk/_ (http://www.theclergydatabase.org.uk/) There is some information on both CHALLICEs and the database is growing. Also, you may be able to find a copy of "Mayfield: A History" by R.C.G FOSTER, which I noted on a trip at ESRO, hopefully it will include information about the CHALLICEs. They were uncle and nephew and both became vicars in Sussex. I am seeking any information about either, but particularly if any graves exist, and if the younger Roger ever married. They were Roger baptised 1727 who was vicar of Mayfield from about 1766 until his death in 1780. The nephew Roger was baptised 1747 and served at Cowfold and Slaugham, before becoming vicar of West Wittering from 1795 until 1815 (presumably his death). Any information gratefully received, and if anyone is related to either of these, I have lots of information for you.
