Hello all: I've been off list for a couple of years and have been "lurking a bit". I've already spied some familiar friends and names. I am interested in contacting any descendants of the SANDERS and some related families of East Grinstead. My bunch (CAREW SANDERS) left for America in the early 1850's after residing in the East Grinstead area for about 300 years and I have been fairly successful in tracing our tree back to a WILLYAM SANDERS, born in Worth in 1586. My research interests are: England: SA(U)NDERS and CHART, E.Grinstead, Worth, Ssx; and Felbridge/Lingfield, Sry, pre 1500 - 1850 Also related families of BYSSHE/BISH pre 1500 - 1850, Worth, Ssx and Horne, Godstone, Sry and TAYLOR, BUTCHER, FENNER, PAYN(E), same time period, in and around E.Grinstead. Place names: ROSE COTTAGE and GULLEDGE of E/G & Felbridge. USA: CAREW SANDERS, St. Louis and Mississippi, 1875+ HENRY SANDERS and WILLIAM H. SANDERS, Clay County, KS 1870+ and West Palm Beach Florida, 1890 + One great interest of mine is attempting to find a link between the Charlwood Sanders and the East Grinstead Sanders.
