A bit of a long shot but does anyone have access to the Parish Registers for the Parish's around Ardingly? I am trying to find the birth record of William born around 1690. We believe his parents may have been John LEOPARD & Catherine? However John & Catherine married in 1691 and all their children after this are included in the Ardingly Parish Records. One possibility is that if William was born before John and Catherine were able to marry did Catherine take him to a nearby Parish for baptism? Not knowing Catherine's surname does not help but if anyone is able to check the surrounding Records for a William born to a Catherine around 1690, it would be much appreciated Nick Leppard
