Hi Judy No, only the Father's name and occupation, as far as I know, and if he has died, the certificate should (but might not!) show this. Hi Judy I am afraid not.... It has the Grooms father and the brides father plus their occupations and grooms place of residence at time of marriage which is usually the parents...... which is rather handy as you can check postal directories etc. Also the grooms occupation, both their ages and of course witnesses which can also shed some light on things. The occupations can lead to apprenticeship records etc.... A mighty handy little document in a pinch. >From there of course you head for the census data, as I said the directories........ Then of course, the First World War ended in 1918.........so you can go online and search Commonwealth war graves website.
