Hello: I wish to contact Ross family members re: DNA testing results. My maiden name was Homans, this surname picked by my gg grandfather, John "Charles" Homans, when he arrived in Nova Scotia, Canada. Reason for changing surname unknown, he was born abt.1818/1820 in Kent area. Have no info on his family. To help solve this mystery I had DNA testing, I have not matched any Homans, however I am matching surname of "Ross". 34/37 markers. Also found pics of William John Ross b, 24 April, 1894,Portsmouth, Hampshire-died 12 May 1975 Gillingham Kent.. He married Caroline Agnes Downs. This Ross looks like he could be a brother to Alexander (Sandy) Homans. I do have a pic of older man and his wife (seated) taken in Canterbury on tin plate, and name of studio on listed; It was among the Homans papers.
