Hi, One of my long term brickwalls is Mary VITLER Mary VITLER b. c1784 - d. (Mary DIBLEY) 1842 http://wc.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=billinghurst&id=I727 Mary married Thomas DIBLEY in 1807 in Frant, SSX. Thomas was from Tonbridge/Leigh, and the family later resided in Tunbridge Wells. Now there are basically no VITLERs in the vicinity, though there are a few VIDLER and VIDLAR. The IGI gives good potential in Ticehurst however, nothing for Frant, and I have not been able to find any place that has Wadhurst data to know whether there are many there. The SFHG baptismal index does not cover much in the way of parish records for this NE corner of Sussex for the period. When it gets to this border area, I start to get lost with the records, who has them, which society may be indexing, which are in, which are out, etc. Help, guidance, information all well appreciated.
