Hi Ian that matches the census data I found for Jean I would imagine Perhaps it's Lucy Messley Blackman???? Definitely Blackman on the 1861 and Messley later though....... Interesting. Could she have married a cousin On her mums side and been widowed? Then married STUNT I have a few of mine do that. Lucy's birth is before her parents' marriage, if the information below is correct. I have found that historical people in this situation frequently use either of their parent's surnames.
