Thanks Mike. It appears that he may have married twice, to 2 Mary Shephards as there is a marriage for 1812 also! : I am alos looking for the mysterious marriage of their daughter Emily Stanford/Rawlins to an equally mysterious John Smith/Lovekin. I have seen on the gypsy list that the names Lovekin and Stanford were possibly gypsy names in Sussex. Isaac was a broom maker, although appeared to give the same address on the various censi. Emily and John's children called themselves Lovekin and Smith and give a range of different Lovekin father's on their marriage certificates. What a mix-up!
