Many thanks to Sharon who replied to my former message with some information on the Crafts family that I didn't have so I am not hoping someone may be able to help with this query. My g.g. grandmother Emily Wells had a sister Harriet (born 1830). She appears on the 1851 Census lodging at 2 Brunswick Place, Brighton. Her 16 year old brother George (errand boy) is with her. Harriet was a nurse. I cannot find either of these on the 1861 Census. Of course Harriet could be married by that time. I have found the death of a George Wells in July 1851 in Brighton so this could be George the son of Frederick Wells and Susannah Crafts. Emily (b.1840 Brighton) also appears to be missing from the 1851 Census. She emigrated to Australian in 1859 As both the parents, Frederick and Susannah , appear to have died between 1846-1850 the children may have been in a home or fostered out. Anything at all on this family would be appreciated. Dawn Hutchinson
