Hi Jane Had a leaf through the Bexhill Observers for 31st January 1976 and the next three weekends but no death notice for Jemima Mary WEST nor any report of the funeral or an inquest. The Observer's office in Bexhill still has paper copies - much nicer than microfilm. It is quite likely that your ancestor was buried or cremated at Hastings Cemetery.
