Hello Listers I have this note: Thomas Lasher's charity consisted of a rent-charge of three pounds and ten shillings per year secured on properties in the parish of All SaintsÂ’ belonging to the Countess of Waldegrave. It was paid annually to seven elderly and poor residents (called in the minutes the 'objects' of Lasher's charity') - remarkable, even by today's standards, for their great age.
