Hallo Does anyone have any information or can advise me of a source for further information about the above Thomas ANSELL, such as parents, siblings, wife, children. He was executed at Horsham on 9 Aug 1759 for involvement in the shooting of a dragoon. FamilySearch has a possible marriage for a Thomas ANSELL to a Mary LAMB in Horsham (1756) and subsequent baptism in the same place (1759) for a Thomas s of Thomas and Mary who would appear to be his son. Hello Connie I have Ansell in my Family Tree and received a lot of help researching from a member of the Sussex Family History Group. I don't know whether she belongs to this Sussex Plus group. I can try putting her in touch with you if not. Are you happy for me to pass on your email address? Anyway, according to the information she gave me, the Thomas who married Mary Lamb, died in 1811 so is not the Thomas you mention. Hallo Hilary Thatnk you for the information. That's a pity. It would have been nice to have a smuggler in the family even if he did get caught. I'd be very grateful if you would pass on my email address to your contact. I'd be grateful for any help. Connie in London
