Re: Census ref: RG14PN4744RG78PN203RD69SD2ED14SN51 I think you'll find the address is Plynlimmon Road, St Mary in the Castle, Hastings, East Sussex. Ref:RG14PN4744 RG78PN203 RD69 SD2 ED14 SN50 - Is for No.38 where a branch of my PEARSON family lived. Head of the house was a Charles, a law Clerk, who was born in 1846. His wife was Jane Inskipp from Battle. They had a large family of 10 children, including a son with the unusual name of Augustus Sholto but aka Sholto. Hope this has helped. Kind regards....Robyn Arkinstall. (NSW. Australia)
This may be a total red herring - but it immediately made me look up a name well known in my childhood - Sholto Douglas - any connexion do you think? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sholto_Douglas,_1st_Baron_Douglas_of_Kirtleside Jean Wood ---------------------------------------- > Date: Tue, 27 Sep 2011 08:38:03 +1000 > From: [email protected] > To: [email protected] > Subject: [SXP] Judy Berntsen's request - Vol 6 Issue 72. > > Re: Census ref: > > RG14PN4744RG78PN203RD69SD2ED14SN51 > > I think you'll find the address is Plynlimmon Road, St Mary in the Castle, Hastings, East Sussex. > > Ref:RG14PN4744 RG78PN203 RD69 SD2 ED14 SN50 - Is for No.38 where a branch of my PEARSON family lived. Hi List, I bought a great postcard at car boot purely for picture and then researched the person who wrote it from the addressee and mailing address. Turned out to be Cynthia Armorel Fyers who married a Sholto Douglas family member. She was aged 12 at the time writing to her brother during WW1.
