    3. Hi both, It does indeed appear to be Orroroo - http://yourarchives.nationalarchives.gov.uk/index.php?title=Place:Hastings_Registration_District,_1891_Census_Street_Index_M-O. Would be interesting to know why. According to www.old-maps.co uk Sandown Road must have been built between 1878 and 1891. Can't find anything else yet on the net. hth, Anne > From: [email protected] > To: [email protected]; [email protected] > Date: Sun, 23 Jan 2011 20:44:50 +1100 > Subject: Re: [SXP] DECIPHER ADDRESS IN 1891 census > > Hi Judy > > Yep that is what it looks like to me - it's the same on the next page > It is also a place in South Australia as a matter of interest > > Hope this helps > > Daryl from Oz > > -----Original Message----- > From: [email protected] > [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of John & Judy Berntsen > Sent: Sunday, 23 January 2011 8:26 PM > To: Sussex List > Subject: [SXP] DECIPHER ADDRESS IN 1891 census > > Could someone please try and decipher the name of the Cottages for me on the > 1891 Census. > > It is on RG12 Piece 758 Folio 78 Page 9 for a George and Emma Charlton. > They are down the bottom of the page.
