Martin RIDDLES, junior, was baptised 16 Jan 1859 at Heene, the son of Martin & Barbara. He married Mary Georgina GATES on 16 Nov 1878, also at Heene and had 4 children, Frank 1884, William 1886, Ellen 1888 and Frederick 1891 (all approximate dates). Martin, junior, and his daur Ellen died of typhoid in 1893 and are buried at West Tarring. Martin's sister Ellen (born 1856) and his son James (born 1881) were both buried at Heene in 1893 and it is beginning to look as if they may also have died of typhoid. If so, this family paid a high price during the summer of 1893. Is anyone is researching this branch of the RIDDLES family, would they please contact me at [email protected] ?
