My great great grandmother was Julia Adelaide Fleming (1st marriage)Smith (2nd marriage) Surrency, wife of Samuel D. Surrency, the attorney mentioned above. He was the son of Allen P. and Wealtha Surrency you refer to. He did NOT have any children. Julia had several children by Robert James Smith, from whom I am descended, but together they had no children. He is indeed buried at Jesup City Cemetery not at Bonaventure in Savannah, Ga. In a later census,1910, you find Julia living as a widow with her daughter and son-in-law Constance and Robert along with a young woman named Rosa Surrency but she isn't their daughter but listed as a "servant". I believe her to be a cousin's daugher of Samuel's who had been working with them in their household previously. He died a year before and rosa may have been trying to decide where to go.
