I have info that this Samuel (father of Samuel the III "the Prolific") entered the American Revolutionary War in Craven County SC in the 3rd Regiment of the SC Rangers but in searching SC records I can't find his name anywhere. I have looked on pension requests lists but then too back then the counties and even the land boundaries of each state were still changing... Any info re this would be greatly appreciated.
