But, you might try looking in a book called The Re-Organization Of The Ga Militia 1864. They were cores made up of old and severely wounded soldiers to be used as a last resort. While I have you on the line. Do you know where Wealthy Robinson Surrency, his wife, was laid to rest? I know she remarried a Phippins, but was unsure if she is resting beside Allen P. Also, isn't Samuel D. Surrency, her son, buried at Surrency City Cemetery. I know the Wayne Co. Cemetery books have him buried at Jesup where his widow is buried. But, he lived in Surrency, GA, up until his death, and another Samuel Surrency lived in Jesup until his death. I just believe the one in Jesup is the son of James Surrency from Tattnall Co. The cemetery transcriber knew nothing of the other Samuel Surrency who was living in Jesup. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
