Jacob is in the 1850 census in the household of David MASSEY (45, SC), Nancy (42, SC), James (19, GA), and Susan (13, AL). He is shown as age 17 and born in AL. Jacob and Mary Jane had at least 4 children who came to TX and eventually settled in Robertson County there - James Tillman, William L., Jefferson T., and Dave.
