BARTON, James Lee; OH,USA>NE,USA; 1856-1940 seeking info on grandparents, on fathers side, for james lee barton. he was born sept.17, 1856 in pike township, perry county, ohio. his father was andrew barton and his mother elizabeth biddison. james married carolina (callie) grimes in perry county, ohio. he attended ohio university in athens, ohio. in 1882 he moved to nebraska first living on a farm near murdock and later moving to a farm near greenwood. he moved to plattsmouth on 1900 where he was treasure of cass county for four years and deputy county clerk for two years. he moved to lincoln, nebraska in 1906 and was a real estate agent until his death in 1940. he had three daughters mrs. viva cross of utica, nebraska; mrs. jesse boos of howard, south dakota; and miss beth barton a teacher in lincoln. jbarton@netwalk.com
