CARDINAL, Cleophas; Ont, CAN>SD,USA; 1870-1880 I am looking for any info on my gg-grandfather Cleophas Cardinal. He left Ottawa in 1877 for the Black Hills of the Dakota Territory. He married Josephine Boisjolis/Prettywood on March 1, 1882. He was born on October 20, 1858 and died July 09, 1931 in St. Onge South Dakota. They had three children: Elizabeth, Celeste, and Felix. I am interested in what happened before Cleophas moved to South Dakota. He left two brothers and one sister behind in Canada and his mother's name may have been Elizabeth.
