PURSLEY / BLACK Gavin; IRL>SC,USA>TN,USA; 1766- Gavin, Guion, Gion, Gowan, etc. is a family given name used by my Pursley/Black families in America. The name has been mis-spelled on various documents in which it was probably spelled phonically. Could someone inform me if these "G" names have similar sounds in Gaelic?
