SCHAFER, Augustee; Goldap, DEU > Daves County, NE,USA; 1853-1903 I am seeking information on the ancestry of Augustee (or Augusta) Schafer (or Schaffer). She was born in Goldap, East Prussia on 5-12-1853. She married Henry Christian Sternbert who was born either in Hamburg or Griefswald, Germany on 11-12-1849. They were probably married in Goldap as their first child, Emma Schafer, was born there in 1885. The family finally settled in Whitner, Daves County, NE, USA, where the rest of their children were born: Henry Christian, Jr.; Anna Madgelena; Aldolph Frederick; Fred Allen.
