OLIGNY; CAN>WI,USA; 1832- Hi everyone. Thanks again to all of you who have helped me in my search for Noah Oligny and his wife Marguerite Raymond. This was my first experience with a genealogy list serve, and I posted a note expecting to hear nothing. It didn't take long before I started to get your responses. You all surprised me with your kindness and generosity. In providing me with the names of the couple's parents and grandparents, I have been able to connect Noah (Noe) to many Oligny names--- aunts, uncles and cousins in St. Remi de Napierville. (So far no brothers and sisters - I haven't yet found a book of marriages for St. Louis de Gonzague in Beauharnois - any suggestions? Maybe I can get it through an interlibrary loan.) However, tonight while searching the internet, I discovered the family tree of Marguerite Raymond's maternal ancestors all the way back to the early 1600's in France and in England. It was quite exciting. If anyone wants information on the ancestors of Noe Oligny and Marguerite Raymond, or if you have information you would like to share, please contact me.
