HARTMANN / HARTMAN Anton; BAD-WUE,DEU>WI,USA; 1860- My ggrandfather, Anton HARTMANN/HARTMAN, b. June 4, 1859, immigrated from Germany to Dodge Co. Wisconsin with a brother in order to avoid the military. According to my mother he came from the Alsace-Lorraine, Baden-Wurttemberg area. His father's name was also Anton HARTMANN and his mother was Mary REICHT. I think Anton and Mary stayed in Germany as my ggrandfather's death info says that Anton and Mary died in Germany.
