ORDEMAN; Bremen, DEU>MD,USA>Philadelphia,PA,USA; 1500-1900 I am researching the ORDEMAN family in Bremen, Germany. I have some information tracing this family from Luke ORDEMANN in the late 1500's all the way to my immigrant ancestor Captain Hermann Dietrich ORDEMAN who was born in 1812 in Bremen, sailed from age 16 on, and settled in Baltimore, MD in 1835. More recently, I am researching the family of John H. ORDEMAN. He was born March, 1840 in Maryland. He married Elizabeth C.F. FISHER in Philadelphia, PA around 1865. Their children included Mary Emma, Katherine, Thomas D. and Henry C. In 1870 he listed his occupation as machinist, in 1880 as R.R. engineer, and in 1900 as capitalist.
