Re: LOTHROP; Barnstable, MA,USA; 1584-1789 Hi, If you check the ancestral file at the FHC on Samuel Chipman, his Lathrop ancestry starts with his mother Abigail b.1689 in Barnstable, she married Thomas Chipman in 1711. Her ancestry goes back to Walter b. abt 1355 in O,,England. The Chipman side in our family comes down to Doris Chipman b. 1908-1980.
