DEATHERAGE; ENG > VA,USA; c. 1700 Seeking information on DEATHERAGE heritage from England to United States late 1600s/early 1700s. We have never been able to PROVE where the family came from in England but there is some speculation that it was the Kent or Worchester area. First known documention of DEATHERAGE in this country is William as a witness to a court document in 1734, Virginia, then receiving a land patent 10 Jan 1735, Orange County, Virgina. We have been unable to make connection with current DEATHERAGE families (DETHERIDGE common spelling in England) who have traced ancestry. Any information or suggestions graciously accepted.
