WHITE; AR,USA; 1836-1890 Looking for more information on the WHITE family of Washington Co., AR. Earliest known ancestor is Willis WHITE, b. c1836 in AR, whose sisters may have been Isabel (b. c1828 LA), Elmyra (b. c1832 LA), and Nancy (b. c1849 AR). Willis appears to be orphaned, living with siblings in the CHANDLER household in the 1850 census. Willis married Elizabeth (?) and had Johnathan (b.c1855), Lewis Marion (b. c1857), Ellen (b. c1859) and James C. (b. c1862). Willis apparently died before 1870. Lewis Marion WHITE married Mary Caroline PERRY in 1878, still in Washington Co., AR. Their children were Sarah Elizabeth (b. 1878), Millie (b. 1880), James, and Laura. They moved to Oklahoma in the 1890s. Lewis' sister Ellen possibly married Samuel VAUGHTER. There is also possibly a relationship between the WHITE family and the STOUT family of that area.
