HUDGINS, William; VA,USA; 1758 William HUDGINS, father of a William HUDGINS, was born in Mathew County VA in 1758. He was a member of the Queen's Rangers (British) during the revolutionary war, was wounded and captured and imprisoned in Pennsylvania. On release as a result of a prisoner exchange he emigrated to NB near Fredericton where he claimed land as a United Empire Loyalist. He married Frances MORGAN, date and location unknown - possibly in NB or possibly in VA prior to serving with the Queen's Rangers. He later migrated to ON (Prince Edward County).
