LEHMKUHLER; PRU,DEU>IN,USA; 1842 My LIMECOOLY ancestors first appear in the Ft. Wayne, IN area c. 1850. Census records show that they were all from Prussia, and the surname was originally LEHMKUHLER, LEHMKULY, or similar variations along those lines. Probable ggg-grandfather was Frederick William LEHMKUHLE, b. 1792 in Prussia, arrived in NY 1842. Family tradition has it that the Limecooly's were from Dusseldorf.
