KIRBY; Havre de Grace MD,USA; 1700-1830 Hello, I've been working on my wife's paternal ancestry for quite a while, and have gotten only as far as her gg-gf, Rev./Dr. Edmund Wesley Kirby, who was born April 1831 somewhere in Virginia. However, I've known for a while that the Kirby family actually hails from somewhere in Maryland near to Chesapeake Bay. Today I heard that this "somewhere" was in and around Havre de Grace, in Harford County of Maryland, which is at the extreme north end of Chesapeake Bay, almost into Pennsylvania. So, I'm wondering if anybody here is doing any research, or has any information, on the Kirby families in Harford and neighboring Cecil County? Thanks.
