He was the child of Joseph VALENTINE, born in England and Elizabeth________, born in Scotland. He had at least 2 siblings still alive at his death, James VALENTINE then residing in Manitoba, Canada and a sister, first name unknown, married to John HUTCHINSON and residing somewhere in Ontario. Thomas emigrated to USA in 1850's traveling to St. Mary's, ELk County, PA. Married Mary LAUMER, in Emporium, Cameron County, PA on February 14, 1868. Resided rest of life in St. Mary's.
