Many families who originally settled in this area later wound up in Maine. You can find some information on this family in David W. Hoyt, _The Old Families of Salisbury and Amesbury, Massachusetts, with Some Related families of Newbury, Haverhill, Ipswich, and Hampton_, pp. 273 ff. This is a classic work from about 100 years ago which any decent genealogical library will have. Stu Bloom [email protected]
