FRASIER / MIDDLETON; AL,USA; 1848-1870 I am seeking information on the following: Daniel L. FRASIER, b. abt 1823 in MD, married (before 1848) Alice L. MIDDLETON, b. abt 1824 in SC. According to my information, Alice's father was John H. MIDDLETON, b. 1790 in NC. Daniel and Alice were in Franklin Co., AL by 1848. Daniel is said to have enlisted in the Confederate Army and served in Colonel Moreland's regiment of calvary, principally in MS, AL, and TN. He was in the battles of Shiloh, Athens, Harrisburg and other. Daniel and Alice had three children: Mary Jane, b. 2 Jul 1848, AL, m. abt 1870 to Andrew Carson MATTHEWS Susanah A., b. 26 Oct 1849, AL, d. 29 Jul 1902 William Evett, b. 9 Mar 1853, AL, m. Sep 1873, to Lucretia (Lucy) J. Clinkscales, b. 15 Dec 1856, in Tishomingo Co., MS The Frasier family settled in Hill Co., TX, in the early 1870s. Daniel died there on 23 Apr 1902.
