Margarete was born aboard ship. He moved about 1800 to Laurens Co., South Carolina. He received his US Citizenship in 1809 in Laurens Co., South Carolina. He died in 1845 in Lumpkin Co., Georgia. He was married to Nancy WIER about 1765 in County Tyrone, Northern Ireland. Nancy WIER was born about 1745 in County Tyrone, Belnagilla, Parish of Lyson, N.Ire.. She died in 1843 in Lumpkin Co., Georgia. Children were: 1. Thomas BOYD was born about 1780 in Knockavaddy Rock, Northern Ireland. Married and had children. 2. Samuel BOYD was born about 1783 in Knockavaddy Rock, Northern Ireland. He died in South Carolina. Never married. 3. William R. BOYD Born about 1785 Knockavaddy Rock, County Tyrone, NIR. Mary Ann BOYD was born about 1790 in Knockavaddy Rock, Northern Ireland. She died in South Carolina. Married Thomas Norris. 5. Margaret BOYD was born in 1795 in Charleston, South Carolina. She was born aboard the ship Volunteer on the passage over to Ameraica. She died in 1871 in Lee County, Alabama. Married 1817 in Talbot Co., Georgia Robert Foster. 9 children: Lewis Allen, Robert, James W., William, Silas, Daniel, Mary, Nancy, John and Thomas.
