Benjamin MEDBERY ( b. abt 1795 in NY) and wife Lydia (GEORGE) (b. abt. 1794 in CT) moved to Mercer County, PA from Chautaqua Co., NY about 1830. Benjamin's will dated 1866 buried Henderson Cemetery. Orsina Medbery (b. abt. 1837 in NY - prob. Chautauqua Co.,), married Isaac SOPHER (b.1827), son of Jonathan Sopher and Charity Simpson - lived in Venango County, PA. Orsina died Feb. 25, 1896, Isaac died Dec. 30, 1892, both are in the Rockland Cemetery. Looking for any documentation concerning birth, marriage, death and/or connection between generations. You need to request that your public library borrow them from the Kansas State Historical Society. (See their site on the Internet for the information you need -- film numbers, etc.) If the father was alive in 1875 you will find him, and don't forget their is an 1870 Federal census to look at as well. You might check the 1880 mortality schedule as well, if you don't know when he died. He was the one that was at Alcatraz and was portrayed in the movie "Murder in the First", by Kevin Bacon. His parents were David E. Young, dob circa 1877 and Helen Sherwood, dob 1892. David's father was also a Henri T. Young, dob and place of birth unknown. My stepmother and I have been searching for information on this family, but have been very unsucccessful.
