WHITE; AR,USA; 1836-1890 Looking for more information on the WHITE family of Washington Co., AR. Earliest known ancestor is Willis WHITE, b. c1836 in AR, whose sisters may have been Isabel (b. c1828 LA), Elmyra (b. c1832 LA), and Nancy (b. c1849 AR). Willis appears to be orphaned, living with siblings in the CHANDLER household in the 1850 census. Willis married Elizabeth (?) and had Johnathan (b.c1855), Lewis Marion (b. c1857), Ellen (b. c1859) and James C. (b. c1862). Willis apparently died before 1870. Lewis Marion WHITE married Mary Caroline PERRY in 1878, still in Washington Co., AR. Their children were Sarah Elizabeth (b. 1878), Millie (b. 1880), James, and Laura. They moved to Oklahoma in the 1890s. Lewis' sister Ellen possibly married Samuel VAUGHTER. There is also possibly a relationship between the WHITE family and the STOUT family of that area. FERGUSON; IRL > KY,USA; 1725-1839 Looking for further information on the family of Josiah FERGUSON, spouse unknown, of Belfast, Ireland. He was born in 1727 and died in 1808 in Fayette Co., KY, spouse unknown. His children: Thornton, Judith, William (b. 1756 in Belfast, d. 1839 in Magoffin Co. KY, m. Katherine LEMASTER), Mary, Jane, Thomas, Josiah, Elizabeth, Nancy, Catherine, Susannah, and John. I descend through William's daughter Alcy, and some information on her descendants may be found on my website. More detailed information on Josiah's other children, his spouse, his siblings, and his parents appreciated. REED; VA,USA > KY,USA; c. 1800- I am looking for information on the family of Benjamin REED who was probably born in the late 1700s, was in VA by 1800, and in KY (Morgan County) by 1824. He was apparently a Revolutionary War soldier. As near as I can tell, he had a son James (b. c1800 in VA) who married Alcy FERGUSON, a daughter Nancy who married James LEWIS and a son Daniel who married Martha LEWIS. (James' sister) In 1834 his children (except for Daniel) moved to Washington County, AR, although I'm not sure if Benjamin was still alive. Any information about any of these families would be very appreciated. I am also trying to research a possible relationship between the LEWISes who married the REEDs and some LEWISes who migrated from Floyd Co., KY to Washington Co., AR at the same time and intermarried with REEDs and FERGUSONs in the area of White River Township. LEWIS Zachariah; NC,USA; c 1772-1803 I am looking for information on Zachariah LEWIS who was born around 1772, possibly in Orange County, NC. He married Rachel BRACKEN there in 1796. He died around 1803. "Pioneer Lewis Families in America, vol. 5" says that the family folklore was that Zachariah was of Irish origin, and may have been born in Ireland himself. Possibly he was related to a George LEWIS. His wife's family was associated with the Old Swedes Church in Wilmington, DE, and I have not ruled out a relationship to the LEWIS families shown on that church's records. Some say his family might have been from VA, but no documentation so far suggests this.
