BRODERICK Phillip / MADDEN Mary; IRL>USA; c. 1868 I'm searching for my g-grandfather, Phillip Broderick, who came to NY sometime previous to the birth of his son, WILLIAM JOSEPH BRODERICK in 1868. I don't know where in IRL he came from. I know he married Mary MADDEN after he arrived in NY. She was born here. I can't find him anywhere, and the only record I can find for his son William is after he married my grandmother, Laura Belle Smith, in Hoquiam, WA in 1897. There is no evidence for his or his parents' existence before this time. It is believed that William had several brothers and sisters, but we don't know their names, either. Any shot in the dark will be greatly appreciated! Jerry Mosgrove [email protected]

ROWLEY; Staffordshire, ENG > PA,USA; 1842- Looking for ROWLEY connections. My ancestor Richard William ROWLEY b. 13 July 1842 in Staffordshire is a mystery. More than 10 years ago I engaged a genealogist in England to do research. No record was found for Richard's birth, thus no names for his parents. He married Margaret Mitchell McBroom 1867 in Allegheny Co. (Pittsburgh area), PA. Have not found any leads or info. as to if parents immigrated to US. Had one known sister (name unknown) who married a Weston or Westly, but where? Earliest info. I can locate in US is his marriage in 1867. 1880 Census confirms his birth in England and gives age as 37. Birth, death and marriage info. for Richard, Margaret and their children was listed on a separate paper in grandparents Bible. All info. that I have been able to confirm has been accurate, which leads me to believe the birth info. is also correct. Richard was a coal miner, as were Margaret's ancestors in Ayrshire, Scot. Would welcome any exchange from English cousins. Pat O'Toole [email protected]
