He and wife Fredericka HENDRICKS (HENDRES) were both from Prussia, but I don't know what town. I've been told that Fuhlendorf may be a possibility. I don't know if they were married before or after they arrived in the USA. They had several children, and I believe at least one of them may have relocated to the Duluth, MN area. Some may also have migrated to Canada. Somewhere along the line, the spelling was changed to KEOPKE. John KOEPKE (KEOPKE) was born in 1858 in Ashland, but moved to Iowa and finally ended up near Joplin, Missouri.
