KIRBY; Havre de Grace MD,USA; 1700-1830 Hello, I've been working on my wife's paternal ancestry for quite a while, and have gotten only as far as her gg-gf, Rev./Dr. Edmund Wesley Kirby, who was born April 1831 somewhere in Virginia. However, I've known for a while that the Kirby family actually hails from somewhere in Maryland near to Chesapeake Bay. Today I heard that this "somewhere" was in and around Havre de Grace, in Harford County of Maryland, which is at the extreme north end of Chesapeake Bay, almost into Pennsylvania.
