MACKIN; MAY,IRL; 1802-1853 Thomas MACKIN was born in Co. Mayo in May 1802 and died in Marion Co., Kentucky (USA) 23 Oct. 1854. His wife was Bridget (1805-19??)--maiden name unknown. Thomas and Bridget had the following children (all born in Ireland, presumably Co. Mayo): Michael C. (b. ca 1830, d. 1884) unknown daughter (married Thomas Joyce) Samuel P. (6 March 1833-26 Oct. 1885) Thomas (b. ca 1839) John (b. 2 Jan. 1839; d. 7 Sept. 1872) James A. (b. ca 1844; d. prior to 1900) Mary Ellen/Eliza (b. ca 1846; d. prior to 1900) William P. (b. ca 1849; became a priest; d. 3 May 1893) All had immigrated by about 1853. It appears Thomas came first, then sent for Bridget and the children.
