CUNNINGHAM, Michael / MANNION, Mary; Ballinasloe, GAL,IRL; 1911 My Grandmother, Margaret Cunningham was born in NY in 1911. Records indicate that her parents, Michael CUNNINGHAM and Mary MANNION were born in Ireland (Ballinasloe, Galway) but were US citizens in 1911.. My great-grandmother died in NY a few years after my grandmother's birth. My Great-grandfather returned to Ireland with my grandmother and possibly other children and lived on a Farm in Angrim with a relative named Nora Bailey. Any info. or suggestions on how to gain further info. would be appreciated. Birth/ Marriage records of Michael Cunningham & Mary Mannion. I am also interested in the local history of the area at the time my grandmother was there. Are there archives of old newspapers etc... Is there or was there a local newspaper in that area.
