GALLERY; ARM,NIR; 1702-1749 I am seeking information pertaining to the GALLERY family that lived in the area of Lurgan, County Armagh, Northern Ireland during the 1700's and beyond. Is GALLERY a true Irish name? Griffiths Valuation 1864, shows GALLERY listed in the Magheralin and Shankill Parishes and GALLEY in the Parishes of Seagoe and Shankill all parishes of the Oneilland East Barony. To date, I have only the following; Sarah of my husbands TIMMONS family line and Mary whose relationship if any, is still unknown. Sarah TIMMONS, daughter of George and Mary TURNER TIMMONS, born 1702 in Clonbrazill, Lurgan; have reference to her as Sarah GALLERY still living in Lurgan in 1756. Would like to find her husband, their family, etc. Sarahs birth is recorded in the Lurgan Quaker Monthly Meeting Register but there is no mention of her marriage. The only reference I have to Mary is from a Public Record Office of Northern Ireland, Personal Name Index, that merely states; Mary GALLERY, Lurgan, County Armagh 1745-1749, Quaker Marriage. I have searched all Quaker MM Register films available through the LDS Library here and have not been able to locate anything referencing Sarah or Mary or for that matter any other person by the name of Gallery.
