WAUGH, William / BROWN, Mary; NIR>SCT; 1820-1880 Searching for the families of William WAUGH (b.1839), son of Joseph WAUGH (b.c. 1810) and Catherine HANLON, and Mary BROWN, daughter of Charles Brown and Mary (Isabella) Gallagher. Joseph Waugh was listed as a weaver on his son's death certificate. William and Mary (BROWN) Waugh emigrated to Dumbartonshire area of Scotland and were married in 1860. Both sides of the family were R.C. No death certificates have been located for the parents of William and Mary in Scotland (Waugh, Gallacher, Hanlon, Brown). Northern Ireland is purely guesswork. They may have been from the south. However, there is much evidence to suggest travelling back and forth between Glasgow, Dumbartonshire and some place in Ireland. Any suggestions?
