    3. ALLISON Mary Ann; LDY,NIR; 1915 Mary Ann Allison was a widow in 1915 when she married my grandfather George Albert Moss on 31 Oct. 1915. She already had 2 children Bridget Porter and George Allison. They all lived at 28 Nailors Row, LDerry, Union 2 , Co. Derry in 1916 when there son Charles Albert Moss was born, and died at 8 weeks of age. Is anyone familiar with any of these names. How can I determine whether Mary Ann died before 1924 when my grandfather re-married? Is Allison a Roman Catholic surname? Does Nailors Row still exist in Derry? What would be the closest cemetrey that the baby may have been burried in? Any help will be much appreciated. Janet. <tweedie@pnc.com.au>

There was a James Hay who was granted land in 1810 on the Bartibog River (across the bay from Chatham, NB). A Thomas Carroll (unknown if related to me) bought that lot (#4, 200 acres) in 1812 from James for 25 pounds. I have recorded a few Hay baptisms and marriages. However, Barbara Jane Hay, being born in 1882, is rather late. If any of this data is interesting, let me know. ------- Joe Carroll_Joe@htc.honeywell.com
