My family includes a Catherine Straub who came to NY in June 1853 with her daugher Crescynthia, one month after Roman Straub, buried in the same Kingston,NY cemetery with her. He is believed to be her brother (his son is known by my family to be a cousin). His ship record states he is from Obertalheim (near Nagold) in Wuerttemberg, Germany. I have not tried to do further research, other than look at the usual, large German gen. websites, which have no data or bulletin board listings relating to my Straubs.
