EVERSMEIER, Frederick; DEU> MD,USA; 1800- Any information on the family name EVERSMIER would be greatly appreciated. My great grandfather Frederick was married to Katherine ??(we do not know the last name at this time). They had several children. Positive of at least 4, the rest is assumed. We think there may have been two sons as well as the 4 daughters. These daughters are: Matilda, Selma, Mary, and Elizabeth. We think my greatgrand parents came to the USA sometime around the middle of the 1800's as they had heavy accents during the time my father and his siblings grew up. Is this name prevalent anywhere particular in Germany? We did find some post cards from Hannover, but they were in great grandmother Katherine's prayer book so we don't know if that was where they both came from or just Katherine, there was not writing on the post cards.
