She emigrated to the USA sometime prior to 1837 and married Wilhelm KR"AUTER in Baltimore, Maryland, USA on 8 Oct 1837. Soon after this marriage she and Wilhelm moved to Wheeling, Virginia (later, West Virginia), USA. Dorothea died in Indianapolis, Indiana, USA on 28 Dec 1895; she had moved to Indiana following her husband's death in Wheeling in 1866. Dorothea's father was named "Lewis", b. somewhere in Germany in 1788; her mother was "Dorothea C. __?", b. 1794 - 1796 in Hannover, Germany. Lewis died in Wheeling, Virginia, USA (date unknown); Dorothea C. also died in Wheeling, West Virginia, USA on 8 Jun 1870.
