    2. Sharon L. Arnold
    3. EVERSMEIER, Frederick; DEU> MD,USA; 1800- Any information on the family name EVERSMIER would be greatly appreciated. My great grandfather Frederick was married to Katherine ??(we do not know the last name at this time). They had several children. Positive of at least 4, the rest is assumed. We think there may have been two sons as well as the 4 daughters. These daughters are: Matilda, Selma, Mary, and Elizabeth. We think my greatgrand parents came to the USA sometime around the middle of the 1800's as they had heavy accents during the time my father and his siblings grew up. Is this name prevalent anywhere particular in Germany? We did find some post cards from Hannover, but they were in great grandmother Katherine's prayer book so we don't know if that was where they both came from or just Katherine, there was not writing on the post cards. Don't know where or when they came to this country, George married Matilda Eversmeier in 1906 they had 4 children: Frederick, William, Anna, and George. Where would the name Meyers be prevalent in Germany? or is it a common name and spread far and wide? "Sharon L. Arnold" <slarnold@worldnet.att.net>

    3. HABERSTROH Karl Friedrich; Duerrn,BAD,DEU>USA; 1869 According to German records Karl Friedrich HABERSTROH (born 11 Nov 1860), his brother Johann Jakob Elias HABERSTROH (born 20 Jul 1857) and their parents Gottlieb HABERSTROH (born 5 May 1829) and Anna Maria Barbara (MAAG) HABERSTROH (born 23 Mar 1821) emigrated from the town of Duerrn in Baden, Germany, to the USA in 1869. The father, Gottlieb, returned to Duerrn alone in 1870. I'm interested in finding descendants of this family in the USA. My home page (http://www.rhrz.uni-bonn.de/~unq01e) has to do with this and other cases of "lost" US Haberstroh immigrants. Robert Haberstroh, Bonn, Germany r.haberstroh@uni-bonn.de

    3. RAPP Gregory; DEU>USA; 1835-1916 I am begining to research Gregory RAPP, Columbus, Franklin Co., OH; 1835-1916. He immigrated to the USA before August 25, 1864, the birth- date of my grandmother, Ellen Mary RAPP. The family was Catholic. Some family members have her mother's name as Marion (DEU)who is said to have deceased in 1865 or 1866. I have found a Gregory RAPP in the 1900 Census which lists his wife as Anna (DEU) who also deceased in Columbus, OH (1844-1918). If someone with cd#20, 1880 Census Index for Ohio, could locate Gregory RAPP as head of household and the particular page #, it would be appreciated. I tried scanning Soundex microfilm at the National Archives and was not successful. Thanks in advance. Frank Roy froy@erols.com
